Gloucestershire & Warwickshire
Classic Vehicle Day
14th June 2015

The show was at Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway, situated in the English Cotswolds. This preserved historic railway with period stations at Toddington, Winchcombe, Gotherington and Cheltenham racecourse (opened in 1984) operates steam and diesel trains. To the west of the main station they also have a narrow gauge railway, which is entirely operated by volunteers. It is well worth a visit for the train enthusiast.

The car show was splendid with a very good mix of classic and vintage cars as well as some classic motorcycles. Weather on the day was fine; we had a lovely drive to the show as it was nice to give the cars a good run.

My pick of the show was a beautiful 1969 4.2 Litre E Type Jaguar. She completed the commemorative Tour de France (for cars not bikes) in 1996, then in 2011 she took part in the record breaking 50th anniversary at Silverstone race track.

Well done to the owner Colin Bullock.
