Bromyard Gala
5th July 2015

I started off at 07.45, taking the scenic route up to Ross on Wye and then arrived at Bromyard, Herefordshire.

The Bromyard gala has been established for nearly 50 years.  It had all the attractions of a great country show which displayed the finest Cattle and Sheep Show, Country Pursuits, Food Fair, Gardening and Steam Rally Attractions. They even had their own Radio controlled and Earth moving trucks in the large Marquee. Also in the arena was a spectacle of Medieval Jousting Tournament.

This was a good show. I would recommend this as a weekend show as there is plenty to see and do from a bar, live entertainment and the fairground attraction. My pic of the week was Philip Headís Triumph 2000 Roadster which he fully restored from a complete wreck. It cost him £14,000 to restore not to mention the many hours it took. It is now worth £40,000. Well done to the owner Phil.
