Wheelnuts

Seven cars met at Aust Services for 0845hrs and headed in the direction of Stroud with Wayne leading the 4 MG’s and 3 Triumphs. We were making good time then indicator’s started to flash and car’s pulled over to the side. What was wrong? I thought, we hadn’t gone far enough to get lost, was it a blown gasket, overheating, fuel leak? Nope, Vanessa had cramp and had to have a stretch. Once exercised, we were off again to catch up with the leaders.

On arrival we were checked in and directed to our positions where the gazebo was erected and I had the nervy task of asking Wayne for passes for the late comers, Bob, Louie & Tony F. Wayne was kind and assured me that I would not be reprimanded. A call from Tony F. told us that they would be at the gate in ten minutes. Forty minutes later they turned up with Bob obviously annoyed that they had got lost in Gloucester. The weather was on the cold side which may have been the reason that many cars and stalls were missing compared to last year. Nevertheless it was a pretty good show with a handful of stalls, one of which had cuddly toys, yep, you got it, Sylvie found another Eeyore.

End of day soon came and we headed home hoping on finer weather at our next event.
