Severn Bridge Sponsored Walk and Road Run
25th April 2010

The Pink Passions
The journey to the Severn Bridge did not go without incident. Every Tom, Dick & Harry were out and about beeping and taking pictures of us in the Herald all dressed in pink. Steven was the sensible one as he wore his Halloween mask throughout the journey hiding his identity. Safety was found in the car park as there were more nutters dressed in pink, cowboys, Elvis, Phantom of the Opera and many more dressed up for the event. Our comfort zone was shattered as we were
then set upon by the local paparazzi and St David’s marshals’ taking pictures for the papers.
Once registered, Haydn, Sylvia, Steven and myself armed with our bottles of water set off on our trek with Haydn enjoying every minute of the attention we were getting from passers by. Mind you I was strangely attracted to Haydn albeit it being very short lived, thankfully. The weather was very kind to us with just a light breeze and a few drops of rain on our return walk. Two hours and forty minutes later we returned to the registration point to receive our
certificates and hand over our donation of £100.11p, (Thanks Carl), also being welcomed back by John with his Midget, who very kindly had put my roof up earlier when the rain started.
Thank you to all who donated and a big thank you to John who was the only one who attended the event to support us with his MG Midget.
P.S. As promised Haydn, what happened on the Bridge stays on the Bridge, especially the bit where you disappeared with that big burly lorry driver.
