| We met at 8.30 at the Crown Pub in Pontllanfraith. At this point the weather was fine. We then made our way to meet Lester on the A470 near Merthyr. We stopped a little further down the road for those who had been brave enough to have their tops down, as it was now starting to rain. We arrived at Swansea slightly late and there was some confusion over where we should be parking. Once this was sorted out we had great
fun trying to erect the gazebo, with Vanesa finally putting us right. At the show they had a fun fair, where Katy won a fish to Karen's delight. There were stalls and lots of expensive food vans. Hayden brought the club into disrepute by being 'told off' by a marshal for playing football near the Traction Engines. As a mature member of the club you would think he was old enough to know better (ha ha).
The weather during the day was cold and wet and later it got colder and wetter so Helen and Lorraine opened a bottle of wine (and drank Beryl and Angela's share). There were some modern cars there which was a little bit disappointing. As the afternoon went on with the deterioration of the weather people started to leave early so we decided to pack up and left the grounds at 4pm. It took most of us an hour to reach the motorway through the traffic. We all got home ok
however, Phil had a minor mishap with his car (once again! Please ask Phil for details).
