Abergavenny Shire Horse Show
25th July 2009

2 Cars met at the Harvester and made their way to the show as planned for 8.30am. Followed by another 3 cars later. The weather was good.
Altogether there were 10 classic cars and a large display of Shire Horses. This was the first time that we had used our new flag, which was easy to put up. As we were shaded by the trees we decided not to put up the gazebo. During the day there was a competition between Tony and Francis as to how many photos were taken of their cars. I'm unsure of the outcome but I'm sure it was a draw. Some people decided to walk into Abergavenny to do a bit of
shopping. While others just lazed around and took the odd walk around the show. There were awards given to Shire Horses for various categories.
After an eventful day we left the show ground at 4.30pm with plans for the following days barbecue at Tintern.
