There were 26 people who met at the met at the Farmers Arms for a meal. Some came in their MG's, others used their ordinary cars. Finding the pub was a task on its own, as we had never been there before.
After the usual greetings we sat at the tables in groups. The room was fairly small so we could not all sit at one big table. The children sat at a separate table which allowed the parents and others to relax a bit, but they were very good. Brian used his sat nav and ended up in Ebbw Vale - must have been having lessons off Richard.
The meal was good and the service was fast but the only thing that confused everything was the bill, as the owner made them out to each table and the extra rolls to the children's table. Francis ended paying ten pounds too much but he expected that to keep up with Beryl's drinking. I promised I would not mention anything so I won't (see Photos). It all got sorted in the end and
Francis got his tenner back. The weather was a bit chilly but the sun was shining all the time we were eating and everybody had a good time. Coffee followed desert; some had homemade apple pie and ice cream, some cheese and biscuits. With the bill sorted everybody started to make their own way home.
