Weston Super Mare Sea Front

8th April 2007
On Easter Sunday we met at Hurrans garden centre at 9.30am. Seven cars set off for the journey to Western-Super-Mare with the chairman in the lead car - it was like following a boy racer. What a cracking day it was, the weather was eggactly right, very warm for most of the day, but getting a bit chilly around 1600hrs.
The cars all lined up in a very good position and it was not long before the tables and chairs were set out ready for our tea and coffee. This was the first meeting of the year so there was lots to talk about. Phil's new walnut dash was one of the subjects and good it looks too. You could tell that a lot of hard work had gone into the cars as they were gleaming.
Some of the girls went into town just to have a fag in a pub, which is something you can't do in Wales anymore. Linda brought a t-shirt with Weston Super-Mare on so she could change out of her thermals. There were a lot of visitors who showed a great deal of interest in the cars. It's nice to see people taking photos of your car even if it's only on their mobile phones. The children in the group went on the beach and had rides on the
donkeys plus a paddle. Two members of the club went round giving out flyers about our own show at Caldicot Castle on the 1st July and some of the other owners said that they would come with their cars, so that's good news.
The journey home went without incident and soon we all went on our separate ways
