Tintern Road Run
and Lunch at the Anchor Inn
7th January 2007
| We had an excellent day at Tintern although it did rain predominantly (words from the BBC weather report). 19 of us sat down on one long table and we all had good reports as to what we had for Christmas and what we were going to do for the coming year. The interest for a weekend in Devon is very strong and I am at present trying to find a cheap hotel with Indoor Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi/beauty parlour for the girls (& boys). Some suggestion that we pose for a Calendar for next year (be a sell out) men included - we all visualised Phil in a swimsuit. About 5 MG cars (sorry 1 Triumph) turned up for the display. There were about the same from other people. I was very surprised that the souvenir shop was open for ice-cream etc. - full marks for enterprise. The last to leave as usual was the famous 7 and we toddled home about 3.30 p.m. by which time it was getting dark. "Roll on the summer".
