Nash College Open Day

23rd June 2007

We met at the College at 10am and it's the only time that Sandra and Keith were the first there. By the time we got there they already had the bunting up and were putting up the gazebo. There was lots to do, like a football game and face painting for the children (I wanted to paint Sandra's face but they had no gloss paint).

About 8 cars turned out and that was more than I expected. We all lined up when a Subaru parked in the middle of all of us. It was then that Wayne pulled out a new set of bumpers and a new grill; well they just had to be fitted there and then. There were more fingers in that pie than Jack Horner had had plum duff. We all had a go - Richard and Bob fitted the front bumper, Wayne fitted the grill, Adrian made a bracket to raise the rear bumper and Keith gave a knowing look over the proceedings. The bumpers were on and off more times than I could count. We even stopped for coffee a couple of times.

We were given memory sticks for computers by Kiss FM, which I was very pleased with as I had been meaning to get one for ages. Just after the bumpers were fitted it poured with rain so we all stood under the gazebo like toy soldiers and waited for it to stop. Richard rushed over to put up Phil's hood not knowing that Phil was sitting in another car watching him. This gave us a good laugh as the rain was coming down in stair rods at the time.

Soon it was time to go and we all went our separate ways.
