We started off with 22 members but dwindled down to 12 due to sickness and other reasons.  The meeting point was the Crown, Pontllanfraith, who opened up especially early for us to get our cups of coffee. 

We all left at 12.45 to have lunch at the Tyn-newydd.  By the time Frances + Beryl and yours truly left the car park the others were already 10 miles away - “no exaggeration” - although Phil did wait in the Railway Inn lay-by for us – bless. Only then to try and join the traffic we were no better off. Blinking Christmas shoppers – the roads were very busy. Fortunately we had our SAT/NAV and we didn’t get lost and we all safely arrived at the hotel.

News on the Grape-Vine literally speaking, Beryl’s on Biotics so her reputation is in jeopardy.  Joking apart we all had a very good meal and enjoyed the pleasant company.

P.S. Breaking news – Frances has been seen with well oiled soles on his shoes, so we should see some good dancing at the Christmas Party.
