15 cars turned up at the Crown Pub meeting place. Greeted by the friendly Z cars we had nothing to hide. Fortunately Haydn was late and missed the “law” and of course we were reminded that his is “Road Legal”. A few new faces which was good to see. We departed just after 11 a.m. to the Brecon Beacons, stopping just above Storey Arms for a cuppa. They looked magnificent all lined up at the top of the most beautiful Welsh mountains and views for
miles. When everybody was ready we departed for Defynnog passing speed cameras, which didn’t affect our ‘speed conscious group’.
We arrived a the Old School House all intact and we all tucked into our Sunday Lunch of either Pork, Beef or Turkey followed by delicious Lemon Meringue, for those who wanted the desserts.
After lunch and coffee we all said our Goodbyes and two Yellow MGs went back Storey Arms way and four Red MGs went to find Llangors lake. We went on the scenic route to Llangors with Richard who was in the lead. We came upon some sheep and fancied a leg for dinner, but could we catch one - “where was Haydn when we wanted him” (SEE PHOTO). Another couple went to Brecon to see a some type of Ball Tournament. On reflection we all thoroughly enjoyed our
day and the meal at the Victorian School House.
