Sunday Lunch Run to the Horseshoe Pub
3rd September 2006
Unfortunately this horse threw a shoe and ran out of GAS – 7 cars were diverted to THE HARVESTER, Pontypool at Hayden's roundabout. Chris Trego saved the day and rescued this event and re-arranged it for the Harvester. Thanks Chris. It was a superb meal and excellent service considering the short notice they had. The meal was rounded off with the delightful sweets of apple pie, profiterrolls and anything else to take your fancy. We have such a great time it was decided that during the winter anyone who wishes would meet up once a month for pub run. We all departed about 3.30 p.m. and headed for home. Tony and Angela are off for 2 weeks to a place in the sun so are Lorraine and Richard and we all will see each other at Tredegar House on the 17th September 2006. Don’t forget arrive early at the Show on the 17th (we have a club stand).
